Send a tip

If you work for the City, the County, the State, a contractor, or on the site itself and something is not right — this is the place. You do not have to give us your name, and we will not ask for it.

Leave it blank and we have no way to identify you. If you want us to be able to ask a follow-up question, consider a fresh email address created for this purpose only.

What happens to what you send

What we log

The text you type, and nothing else. We do not store your IP address with a tip, we do not set tracking cookies, and there is no third-party analytics script on this site — you can check that by viewing the page source.

Where it goes

Straight to [email protected], read by the Foundation. It is not forwarded to the City, the County, the State, or any company mentioned on this site.

How we use it

Usually as a pointer, not as a publication. If you tell us a document exists, the best thing we can do is file a public records request for it and publish the copy the government hands over — which protects you completely, because the record then comes from them, not from you.

Please read this

Do not send anything from a work computer, a work phone, or a work network. Employers can and do log those. Use a personal device on your home or mobile connection.

We are not lawyers and this is not legal advice. Mississippi and federal whistleblower protections exist but they are narrow and fact-specific. If you are considering disclosing something that could put your job at risk, talking to an employment lawyer first is worth it.

Prefer paper?

Move Weight Foundation, 1028 I St NW, Miami, OK 74354. A letter with no return address is still the most private channel that exists.

Especially useful right now

  • Any air permit, permit application, or exemption determination for the turbines at 2875 Stanton Road S — or confirmation that none exists.
  • The Board of Aldermen minutes or resolution accepting the $1,380,900 police donation, the $1.85M grant, or the $3.46M road MOU.
  • The fully executed copy of the Donation Agreement — the released version is unsigned by the donor.
  • Any annual Fee-in-Lieu statement issued by the DeSoto County Tax Collector under Exhibit B § 2(a).
  • Any clawback, job-verification or compliance report filed with the MDA.
  • Any water supply agreement, well permit, or withdrawal report for the site.
  • The Musk Foundation grant agreement, particularly its Section 6 confidentiality clause and any legal advice the City took on it.

You do not need to have a document in hand. Knowing what something is called and which office holds it is often enough for us to go and get it.
