[0:06:12] brooks yes kelly yes yes yes yes okay that motion carries all right next on the agenda's resolution for the jag grant in our local agreement is the resolution for the jag ramp with the justice department it's between the interlocal agreements between the city of south haven city of olive branch and desoto county for funds from the justice department to allow the city of south haven we'll use our plans this year to purchase sky cops to put in the earth sky control cops they'll purchase use those in our parks to monitor the parks at night but tonight we see the resolution of proving the mayor to sign the interlocal agreement with the city fall branch and that will allow us to then allow this year all of ranch is taking the lead on the project so all brands will then apply for the funds once the funds are received they'll be used by our cities i think the police for the sky cops so it's the same format we've done the last three or four years with this grant this but this year it's not all branches turn take a leap we'll we'll take the lead next year again mr i hope we adopt a resolution of the mayor board involved in the city of south haven proving in our local agreement between the city of south haven and the city of olive branch for the 2017 edward byrne justice assistance grant second we have a motion ballroom in pain second environment hail is there any discussion hearing none roll call yes okay that motion carries next on the agenda is resolution for sanitation assessments these are the properties have not paid the sanitation

[0:08:14] fee and it's very few i think there's six or seven properties told them to be eight so the number has decreased but it would just be authorization to assess these properties due to the property grid they're lien and or or to the license plate tag mr mayor i move that we adopt a resolution for assessing unpaid sanitation fees okay we have a motion by alderman gallagher second arm and hail is there any discussion how is this process going so far since we've started doing it this way how's it going election hello of we've streamlined it to learn how to notify folks and get their attention quicker and get through this process continue to accrue while we're waiting so we feel like the process is better people uh we've had a good response from the landlords now that we've known more of them that have rental properties that part has definitely gotten better to get their involvement the process though like i said it's still slow it's not like they were down like so we've eliminated or anything but it is i think we're definitely our end of it i believe has gotten much better the landlord a lot

[0:10:44] but as a percentage-wise it's still a very small percentage of our total sanitation that's what i'm saying i guess there was a long answer to i mean what's our what's our percentage of collections have how much has our percentage improved are we collecting 50 percent more now that we're doing it this way or or what i don't know that i can say yet i can find out for i would say yesterday we're probably since we weren't doing anything i mean we've had to start you with this process to start the 12 hour fee versus what we used to do it was kind of a new problem for us but any other discussion eric known roll call yes yes yes okay that motion carries next on the agenda's contract with sweeping corporation this is the contract with the student corporation who helps with the maintenance of the city streets it's not not the infrastructure but the cleaning of the city streets their contract is coming up on october and so we have drafted this contract for them and they've accepted the con they agreed to the contract with on our terms with the pricing there's also a checklist that will start as an exhibit for the public works department to mark off as certain streets are cleaned so tonight bring this to the board for approval for the maker to sign and proudly rock and answer any questions you may have on it the same company we've been using for quite quite a while samara whether we approve the professional services agreement

[0:12:46] uh for street sweeping and maintenance between sweden corporation american citizens presented on the state we have a motion ballerman brooks second by alderman payne is there any discussion i've already addressed with bradley about a few of the issues that i've had over my part of town but we do have a check and balance in place now they're gonna they're gonna check the streets and yes follow up yes there should be this uh there's a list right there's an exhibit to the back that will allow us to mark when those happen in the public works department so you can keep a track of it any other discussion yes okay that motion carries next on our agenda is a contract with north mississippi pest control this is just a limited contract for it's a one-year contract that allows uh the city to use more mississippi pest control for properties have been condemned um what we've not a lot actually it's very few there's been a couple of times where we've had pest control issues almost properties have been condemned and this will allow the city to utilize those services um to help with pest control on that condemned property and with the understanding and thought process being once this contract is approved allow us to also assess that against the property as part of the con the taxes along with the cuttings as part of the condemnation process or condemnation penalties they agreed to the changes we suggested and it's only really paid for when we use it and it's a one-year contract so it's as needed but tonight authorization for the mayor to sign this contract moving forward how many combinations thank you we have a motion by alderman payne

[0:16:52] meeting uh it is a public meeting so that we'll um we'll need public notice posted uh appropriately we're gonna need someone to take minutes so i'm just asking the chairman of each committee to keep minutes and make sure that we do have good communication from the committee back to the full board obviously everyone knows that a committee doesn't make finding decisions for the city as a recommendation to the full board so if the committee chair will help us you know take the minutes and make sure everyone uh gets that in the full board so we have good communication and also post uh you know public uh proper public notice is there any other discussion uh one other thing um as you'll note i did make some changes um just based on you know priorities that we have now things that are pending now so we shook those up a little bit consolidated some things to try to make us more efficient with our committees okay any other discussion hearing none roll call yes okay that motion carries next on our agenda is a contract amendment uh with our green king spray contract this is just the first amendment to the green professional services contract amendment contract for green king which adds the additional services as date of the contract for pre-emerge and some different applications at the police facilities uh it will increase the cost by i think sixteen hundred and forty seven dollars a month um the police and the public works and planning has asked has recommended this green king has agreed to it for the additional services that are being provided so it just would it would amend the existing contract

[0:21:03] next on agenda's resolution uh for engagement of professionals and intent to issue bonds these are actually two separate resolutions uh the first one we'll do would be the resolution for the intent to issue bonds this resolution will allow for the beginning starting the process of issuing the bonds uh not to exceed six million dollars it'll put the ad in the paper and get the process moving forward for the for the issuance of the bonds they'd still come back to the board for the resolution to issue the bonds but this will just start the process for the advertisement to actually issue those bonds a absolutely we have a motion bonus gallagher second alderman brooks is there any discussion is this for the bond that we were talking about for the budget is this those bonds yes okay again this is um authorization up to 6 million we can we still don't have to make that decision at night on how all that's spent um it is important i would like to uh quickly after tonight uh get feedback from the board and uh let's all we need to formulate a plan you know we don't need to be going in eight you know eight different directions but we need to formulate a plan on how we're going to use the money you will recall from our budget meetings that a large portion of this money about 4 million of it was money that was removed from the operational budget and it was in the form of mpo projects the co-op part that we would have normally had to pay with our annual budgeted funds removing those from the budget and putting them putting them in the bond allowed us you know to reach some of our other goals you know which was to give employee raises and also to increase infrastructure lines you know we raised the

[0:23:05] infrastructure line from a million to uh for street improvement from a billion to a million five but all that was part of uh you know the bond was key you know and you know allowing us to boost some of those financial commitments out of the operating budget to do that we do have a few other things with that then there's new information you know we need to consider so we need to get together on our capital improvement plan and i'll get on the same page with that but you don't have we don't have to do that tonight if y'all want to go line by line we can do that tonight or or another day but basically um and correct me if i'm wrong but this is just authorizing to go up to 6 million it's not declaring that you're doing a 6 million dollar bond right correct uh i do want to reiterate the fact that um of the 6 million 4 million of that is stuff that we've already committed to so with the budget we have 4 million that we removed from it that we've got to have you know the bond in order to make the budget uh work for us we could lose the mpo sure yeah i mean you obviously wouldn't want to give up 80 federal money right and those um i don't know that we would look unless y'all want to i don't know that we want to get into that list and if y'all want yeah i mean we're just advertising to go up to six months yeah okay is everybody good with that any other discussion carrick nunn roll call yes letterman kelly yes yes yes yes okay that motion carries next on the agenda is the resolution for uh city donations i'm sorry mayor we gotta get through the resolution for engagements i'm sorry back up not right okay let's do uh we need a motion for the resolution to uh engage uh bond professionals yeah the resolution to engage in different government

[0:25:07] consultants that's um what he's done in the past for the city and involved that was body council so you need a separate motion for each other no sir just one resolution okay so the resolution allows for both so thank you we have a motion brooke second bottom and hail is there yes okay that motion carries thanks on the agenda as a resolution for city donations i'll make that motion second okay we have a motion monitoring florida second autumn and kelly is there any discussion did you know i i amended the list uh that y'all i went to all with all of you the resolution that we're approving tonight is what the amendment has already made into it i added the ark and took it out it was budget neutral do you mind like you got to live would you just recap that really it's not that many of them did you mind doing that uh just just tell what was change you know what was in the proposed budget and what you're proposing to change sure the chamber was 85 we reduced it to 81. healing hearts was 65 we reduced 50. minnesota museum was 10 we reduced it to 9. the arc asked for 25 they've never gotten anything from the city before but they do great work with autism kids uh the library was 365 it's 3 30. family theater was asked for 50. we originally 35 we bumped into deploy and then economic council asked for twenty thousand dollars less so we gave them that that's what we should pay and this other youth solutions were six thousand and we're approving fifty four hundred which is the ten percent that we asked it was more equitable across the board we asked ten percent we're all sharpening our pencils we

[0:27:09] figured that the charities that we don't actually publish those pieces as well it is important to know that uh i appreciate you doing that all right initial proposal um obviously some of those um organizations are more of an arm of the city some are true charities and so the initial proposal um you know took that into account you know we wanted to uh not cut the things like the economic development council chamber you know that are direct arms of the city whereas some of them are just pure charities i do hope that um i support what i certainly have no opposition to as long as it doesn't affect the bottom line which it doesn't it's actually 600 less 600 i definitely don't oppose that if the board you know we'll vote in just a minute but but i do want to say again as i mentioned i would just encourage uh everyone to think about what your philosophy is going to be moving forward you know we added another charity that's going to encourage more charities to come forward next year it's again i'm just it's my philosophy i don't believe that cities should give public funds to charitable i think they're all great organizations but i don't think it's government's role to fund charities i think that's individual's role um but i understand that we don't want you know the these organizations have been so accustomed to relying on the city for so many years you know i didn't want to do anything that crippled them you know in one year i just think it my opinion is that moving forward that we should gradually you know even like with the ark if the arc needs what i would call seed money to help them get going it's obviously a great organization but i don't think it's something that they should be you know relying on the city and definitely for funding so i would just encourage you to think about that you know if you approve that this now think about that for next year in the following years um we do make we sacrifice governmental functions when we give that money so just keep that in mind we are saying no to some of our own departments on needs that they've requested to give money to charities so just keep that in mind as we move forward just

[0:33:39] agenda is the resolution to clean private property mr mayor i believe without the resolution grant authority private property is presented on the state we have a motion balance brook second baltimore hail is there any discussion among the floor hearing none is there anyone in the audience who would like to speak regarding unit priorities yes yes okay that motion carries next on the agenda as a planning agenda sweden cook yes sir our first application we have a subdivision application for central park section it's going to be on the west m-1a of tulama south of state land road it is a continuation of the existing m1 section which is directly off of tulahoma this is approximately 0.76 acres and it is only two lots and it's basically just to finalize out the area before it hits a creek line uh it has metal bulk regulations under the approved 99 putt it was voted unanimously in favor of mr mayor make a motion that we approve item one on the planning agenda as presented on the statement thank you okay we have a motion ballerman kelly second by alderman hale is there any discussion on on item one miss whitney um john reeves is this the same developer that initially started this neighborhood yes this would be the same one okay uh he filed bankruptcy on this first part didn't he well he has got different corporation uh incorporated businesses different llc's um i can't say that the central park one um was dissolved i know that a couple of his other ones reeves investments at one point was dissolved and there was one uh

[0:35:41] we had a joint venture with some other developers in the rasco hills subdivision that dissolved um but i do know that the areas where the llc was dissolved the bank took back the properties and he bought back the lots this may be one of those included i'm just worried that we're gonna have to behaving more roads well when it when it comes to the roads when 2008 when the recession hit and and everybody was going down um the city took it upon ourselves before a bond expired to go to whatever bank was required and there's a few of us that went out of state to collect we would go collect bonds because the developer couldn't honor them one thing as a developer you don't want to happen is a bond be called on you because that's a big black you know mark on your book but we collected as many as we could before they expired and any new sections like with this one will send out notice to civil inc who will go measure the road uh look at the sidewalks curb cutter and do an estimated cost on how much it would cost the city to do it if something happened to that developer and they'll come up with an amount that the developer and sibling will agree to and they'll issue a bond and then it will hold the bond until the subdivision is 80 through and then the developer can go in and do the final lift on it we make sure the sidewalks are in place properly the carbon gutter's in place and the phone lifts on it if for whatever reason something happens where that developer goes away we have the bond money and the city will come into play and actually do it ourselves so that we have a safety net the 2008 thing was just it was an anomaly all in itself but we did what we could we did collect the bonds on central park we did collect the bonds on raspberries which is on the agenda for tonight as well we have that money and we've been working on those streets so and the biggest thing i appreciate your concern autumn and kelly because that's something that uh i've watched this suffer through the last four years the bond amounts were set when these um initial developments were done were inadequate they were not enough they were grossly underestimated that's what caused the city major problems we've been fighting our way as you all know through this to catch up we've come a long way we've taken care of a lot of these

[0:37:42] problems but we do as whitney states that's something that i've met with civil link about to make sure that we are setting the bond amount accurately so we don't get in the situation again so we've made that change so should protect us in the future any other discussion on item one yes okay that motion carries on one item number two you'll see if you go right back to the you can go right back to ariel it's the same area what you just approved for m1a is going to be on the east side of that creek line m2 what they're proposing on the next item 7.77 acres is on the west side of that creek line um it is like i said 7.77 acres it's 24 lots they do have one lot identified as park preservation city preservation area apparently this was something that was approved back in the 99-98 uh pud overall putt which is essentially where you see the creek line we've asked them to do two things before we accept this one in m1 and m2 don't connect anywhere via a street system or anywhere else so it's very confusing to us we've asked them to rename it to be section in they've agreed to that and with the city preservation area we've gone out and looked at it there's a lot of trash there's a lot of debris we've had complaints of tires being stored in that crate just from years and years of neglect so before we want to take on the city preservation area for that approved plan uh we want the quick claimed out they agreed to that as well once those agreements were in place planning commission voted unanimously in favor of it mr mayor have made the motion to approve item two on the planning agenda sec we have a motion byron kelly second daughter mchale is there any discussion on item two okay on item two it says minimum heated

[0:39:46] square footage is thirteen hundred square feet that's the red is that one that's the original pad that's the original puzzle with the other homes yes that's your minimums you know the majority of the time they're not going to build out as your minimums they're going to go bigger i think what we've seen in central park now they're around 1550 is what their build-out level are but that put when that putt puts that heated square footage in place that becomes their their minimums i mean if they choose to build that low it's there right under that pled text there's nothing we can do to increase that decrease it amended unless we're the developers any other discussion on two hearing none roll call yes yes okay that motion carries i know number three is an application for subdivision approval nebraska hills section h it's gonna be on the south side of state line right east of horn lake road uh 7.34 acres including 34 residential lots there's no common open spaces it is a continuation of the existing smith ranch drive it does connect two existing sections of the same subdivision together pd text approved in o3 it does meet the bulk regulations of the text they do have an hoa in place so we will have them note that on the plat but there are no entrances or common open spaces associated with this particular phase so there's nothing associated with actual maintenance the planning commission did recommend approval of it unanimously we'll make that motion second we have a motion by arm and hail second alderman kelly is there any discussion is did you say there is a hoa there is an hra in place for this one yes sir they're going to be i know we've had some issues in the past with non-registered end up being illegal and all that so are not illegal to rephrase it they they went away didn't have any kind of way to

[0:41:51] oh the dissolution of some hoas um and that that's gonna be more of a nick question that is not a common thing we have seen that in one situation um you know we've mandated we may have dated in our files now uh the ones prior to when we figured out it was going to become a problem um that's something we're just going to kind of wade through but there's only really been one that's dissolved themselves um and that that's not this subdivision or anyone in this section but um i'll kind of leave the answer up to nick on that but i don't know how we handle that your approval should be fine did you have that in your approval yes the overall putt on this one we read up on this um again this was done a little prior to me but it it required the hoa we've known we've put the notice on all the flats um they do have an active one we haven't had problems with their entrances they've got roundabouts we had a problem with any of those um i think they probably i think they actually have a management group that works with them so we haven't run into any problems with this one we were we were also going to check and see about any additional lighting that might be more helpful to a neighborhood from the developer side is that anything that was checked on with this one um rather do you know if they got any additional lighting for rasco hills okay we can i mean we can look at it after we order them through public works i mean we can have somebody go out and see where the dark spots are obviously standard procedures what we've looked at is about every eight houses is where energy puts a light for us but we order them through public works so i give it bradley what's the request on how well we some of the rascal farms now is um seems the lights are just too far apart uh when you go from a well-liked area to a really dark spot especially in the dead-end streets little cul-de-sac areas that type of thing i'm just trying to see if we can we can it's easier to add them on the front end than it is on the back end of the property so that's that's the reason we were checking okay do we know are they standard distance or

[0:43:52] like i said what we've always been told by entergy and um when mr terrance was um still alive and with us the the policy that he had worked with entergy is it would be automatically every eight lots um i kind of argued a little different with it because eight lots can be either really spread apart or really close together depending on the density so i don't know if they have an actual calculation that would be something that bradley can answer for you i don't know what the actual calculation is but that used to be the policy i just don't know that we want to continue that because that some people are going to have them 200 feet apart somewhere people are going to have them 1500 feet apart you just don't know based on the number of lots so there may be a better way to look at and that may be something that you know probably can work with energy okay yeah we can definitely analyze that make sure that it's sufficient yeah again lights don't go up until after we take the road right the policy that we always i hate to keep saying policy this you're kind of in an unknown territory with me because this is just not under my hat but i've been told a long time ago that the city would put them up then i was told after that that the developer put him up and that we would take our maintenance once they were up and we just can't find documentation either way to my knowledge i don't think we've found anything either way have we i've seen it work both ways but i can't answer that question that's right bradley would you come forward now we need an aunt we need to we don't need to assume yeah we just we've just had a lot of problems in some of the areas but well i'm told that some of the times we don't get we can't get streetlights put up because the city everything on the street right well now if the city is going to put them up if we're going to put them up we can't put them up when it's not our street we can't that's true you're referring to i know where you're referring to and that is true but in other cases that's the point i i don't i i don't want to answer something out of my realm so the question and i've been involved in several of these discussions just so the board knows entergy can put the lights up obviously when a when a area

[0:45:54] residual area is developed but it's not built out entergy can come in and they put the lights they put the lights up that doesn't involve us well when if we're if we take a request to add additional lighting anything that we do is after it's been designated or dedicated to the city as a public street yes sir is that correct yes sure okay so how does entergy go about determining how many likes they put up uh well as whitney said the guideline has generally been um by enlightenment by so many number of lives they've done eight like she said um as we've said also after that's been done we've found that that presents some problems and depending on how large the lights are and then we do go after we've taken that over and then that problem has been presented to us we come back with energy and get them but that's after it becomes a system that's after the fact so far yes sir in terms of how they they do it with the developer normally on the front end like you said and they're going by that guideline from anything that energy's every time anybody the energy that i've talked with is said it's generally that same thing that that's what they go by on the developments that they're working with to develop on the front end so we a lot of times find that after the fact the weekend like whitney said work more with them to try and get on these new ones that are coming in now something that's more maybe distance wise not likewise but yeah the distance so that it's consistent and that y'all can we have a comfort level about that everybody's getting the same coverage whether their lots are you know 200 feet across the front or 20 50 feet across the front or whatever so that we get uh the same distance and same lighting quality in all the neighborhoods so basically to summarize just for everyone when there's a new development like that entergy makes the calm how many lights are out there when it becomes a city street then at that point we can use our own discretion if we feel like there's more lights needed right is that clear for everybody but we don't have any guidelines for developments that can solve that problem on the front

[0:47:58] end i mean everything is right we're not developers there's nothing in the energy because if you go by lots i mean that's but i do believe talking to energy a couple of times about device if we have if we put a guideline in place like if we're going through we're looking at some amendments for the zoning and for the subreddits if we put something in place they will honor our ordinance um they're just going by their policy because that's what it's just a general thing for them but if we want to go above and beyond and put something in writing that we can handle and say look this is what something requires then they'll abide by that so it just needs to be something we add to the list and again you don't want to be paying for lighting to light vacant lots right you don't i mean you know and we can that's i don't know if that's something we can add to the bond and put it in there that they place the lights you know once it's getting a little bit more built out or do it as it's built out i don't know what the answer is but entergy is just saying if you want more if you want it more structured give us something to work with okay well that's something bradley will you put something together for us on a recommendation that the board could approve that we can have a standard policy on on how we're going to do that but just just to remind everybody we you know we get requests all the time to add lights and i know that alderman hill gets a lot of those you know we certainly want lights because it cuts down on crime however it is important to know we're paying for that every time we add one they're not free so we want to make sure that we are efficient and we're not just taking a light pull up there because someone requested it it needs to make sense why there's a new light there yes sir well i'm thinking have we seen any of the new led lights or anything energy are they installing anything energy efficient yet what we're supposed to we're supposed to be the the test dummies for right down there at 51 and uh state line i did talk to mr arnold with entergy because he's been working with us on trying to decrease the overhead messiness on state line road um he said he would let us know we would be the first call when they come in he said that they were finishing up prototypes and we're trying to get something out hopefully by this winter um so we'll just keep checking back with them which that's a good question that could decrease our cost yeah and plus like what you said it helps clean up some of the congested area you know main street uh has so many poles they're not even

[0:50:01] being used anymore and it's just congested so hopefully with led lighting we can remove some of the poles and kind of clean it up a little bit okay thank you for having me yes sir okay is there any other discussion on item three hearing none roll call yes alderman kelly yes yes okay that motion carries uh our final application is a request for subdivision for cherry tree park section g2 it's gonna be on the west side of gatland road north of star landing it is one lot and for whatever reason we're correcting an error between section h and section g there was one vacant partial that didn't get grabbed by either section it's approximately eighteen thousand square feet um they're proposing added into g both amount the same square footage size is minimum heated everything um but we're proposing to bring it into g so it'll be section g2 and it will consist of one lot that was just kind of left out there in no man's land so it's just an error and that's what the request is it was voted unanimously in favor of the planning commission samara make a motion that we approve item number four foreign we have a motion bomber in florence second alderman brooks is there any discussion okay next on our agenda's mayor's report um just to update you on a few things uh first of all i'd like to thank all of our department heads and everyone in the city uh that came together and uh put together some relief efforts for hurricane harvey

[0:52:03] john lyons and wes brown and our parks department organized a campaign to fill uh a large trailer 22 by six and a half trail full of goods and uh and drove that down to north houston so we um the city uh was able to help with that very proud of that thank you guys and everyone for the effort there um we are going to need to have a special meeting on uh next tuesday september 12 at 11 30 we'll send another email to remind everyone the church road resurfacing uh bids will be open later this week we are on a time crunch to get it on mdot's agenda so we don't hold it up we're getting late in the year our goal is to try to get this overlay done in october before the weather gets cold and so we need to have it on the mdot agenda the next meeting is after that so we need to have a special meeting to accept the bid that will be on uh again next tuesday at 11 30 in the morning i try to do the meetings i mean y'all give me some feedback but i thought that would be useful to schedule around lunchtime your work schedule you know if you're leaving your job to go to lunch maybe just hopefully we can be out of here in 15 minutes yeah there you go so hopefully that'll help everyone uh one other thing that's going to be on that meeting that we'll talk about more later obviously we just set our committees we've got some work to do as a city with our ordinance committee there's several things that we need to review and make adjustments to our transient vendor ordinance is in place now tanger outlets is a little bit different than most of our operations it's a popular thing now throughout the country to use food trucks i know we've briefly discussed this at times tanger has requested you know a few times throughout the year to bring in food trucks for different events i continue to remind them that we're still waiting on our restaurants they say that they're getting the

[0:54:06] message from me loud and clear they understand that i'm not happy that they're not restaurants there after they promised us that they assured me that they're working on that uh but still in the short term some of the events are going to require some food trucks the reason i'm telling you about that is our current ordinance does not allow that i mean we only allow a certain number of transient vendors on the property at one time i do agree with them that the tanker situation is a little bit different than anything else in our city so what we've recommended that they do is complete an application for a special events permit just bring it before you guys every time and let you look at it when it comes here it'll already be approved or looked at by whitney andrea and uh police and fire chiefs will also review it to make sure that it doesn't cause any problems there so after they you know put their take on it their approval it'll come back before the board so hopefully we'll have that on the agenda for the 12th as well are there any questions about that by the way i know that's something we want to get into discussion with later you know in the ordinance committee but does anyone have any questions about about that did we ever settle whether or not tinker within the realm of the mall itself that they could have vendors well what we did wasn't that an issue it was an issue there were some vendors that were there that we realized were not conducive to our fire department did not approve that they just kind of popped up but that's been corrected they've been removed but they are different you know our ordinance now allows one per piece of property obviously tanger is a huge huge place much larger so what the everyone felt like was safe was to allow one in each quadrant so four there on a normal basis but again that's something that um you know we want to tweak the ordinance and make it conducive to that however we

[0:56:08] don't want to change it to where we cause transient enterprise throughout the city because that is a problem we fought throughout the city so right now to answer your question alderman payne there's uh four that are uh are operating there now um but this special event would bring in uh numerous other i think what is it five or six food truck was that what it was because i know they've mentioned i've had several meetings with them about it and there there's been mention is as many as five or six trucks i'm going to try but i don't know if i can get enough information before next tuesday's meeting but i'm gonna try to get a little more information on how memphis does theirs i know they have a food truck alliance that factors in together i don't know if they have a contract with the city they go to different places in the summer time and set up and i'm gonna try to get some more information on how they do it what regulations that they adhere to and i think it's something we should look at okay i appreciate it understand what we're trying to keep from happening and i totally agree you know we just don't want a food truck in everybody's parking lot but you don't that's not what they have they get i mean this is kind of a group that works together i mean when you see one food truck you see food truck park right exactly so that's where everyone is so i definitely think i welcome that i appreciate that i think it's something we do need to take another look at with the uh with the ordinances but still in the short term we don't want to say no and hurt them promoting shopping there so that's why up until the time when we're able to review the ordinance um i don't want to authorize something i don't have the authority to do which i don't so i'd like to bring that before the board and let y'all look at each individual situation until we get something changed with the ordinance okay and that's all that i have on mayor's report next on our agenda is our citizens agenda we did not have anyone that signed up in advance
