[0:00:00] all right welcome everyone i'm not calling this meeting to order please stand with us we'll be glad to prayer of gallagher please remain standing for the pledge of allegiance by honor heavenly father thank you again for letting us meet lord we pray for our our children lord that are getting out of school for the summertime lord i pray for a hedge of protection around them lord i want to pray for the officers that will be out there uh watching our streets lord as as crime increases during the summer lord i just pray that you would be with them and keep our city safe lord we ask for your blessings on our meeting and your wisdom and our decision in your name we pray under god indivisible with liberty and justice okay first on the agenda this evening is approval of minutes for the may 7 2019 meeting mr mayor we approve the minutes of the regular meeting of may 7th 2019 within the additions to deletions recurrences for a second we have a motion involvement pain second of all hoops is there any discussion none roll call alderman brett yes yes and that motion carries next on the agenda's resolution for law fit 2019 mr nick manley this resolution is for the law fit 2019 competition that will take place in

[0:02:05] southaven at lander center and south haven high school authorizes the city to donate five thousand dollars for the law fit challenge as part of the expenses under our authority under our local private legislation and the mississippi code to the community foundation so tonight just authorization for the mayor to sign the resolution for the law fitted 2019 challenge i'll make the motion second we have a motion by alderman payne second baltimore wheeler is there any discussion hearing none roll call yes okay that motion carries next on the agenda is the resolution for freeport tax exemption i guess we got two of these tonight first one is pacific bioscience laboratories product scene that was reviewed and recommended by the federal economic council for the free report for those goods and transit outside of the state so tonight authorization for that resolution for the freeport tax exemption for pacific bioscience laboratories privacy i'll make that motion a second we have a motion ballroom in florence second dollar with payne is there any discussion hearing none of the royal call doctrine yes dr benjamin yes yes that's why she cares next on the agenda is the resolution for the same thing for australia yes same thing recommended by this of economic council um directorization resolutions up and all they provide information required so to my authorization for um entreac root distribution company for a report tax commission i'll make that motion second

[0:04:10] we have a motion balance in flores second baltimore pain is there any discussion hearing none roll call congrats yes yes that motion carries next on the agenda's approval southern fire department contractor zoll medical corporation for warranty chief danny scallions good evening mayor moore this is a request for the fire department enter a contract with zold medical for a warranty on our sole auto pulse which is cpr device these devices are about 80 000 in value and this is a twenty one thousand dollar uh three year warranty which would be seven thousand dollars to maintain these cpr devices so moved take it we have a motion baller with flores second ballroom wheeler is there any discussion motion authorized chief scouting is the sign please any discussion hearing none all in favor say i don't all right any opposed say no i just haven't motion cares thank you next on the agenda's approval of the atnt amendment video service agreement this amendment will extend the att service agreement for the video service agreement for another 10 years it was previously from 2008 2018 expired in 18 and this will extend it from 2009 1929 under the same terms where 18t will pay us the 5 for those video services under um and also it provides a new area for us commanding notice provision for notice under the

[0:06:12] contract but everything else is the same as the contract request in 8018 tonight it's just authorization for the mayor to sign the extension from with 18 t from 2009 to 2019 it doesn't 1929 so you continue to get paid under the contract or city continue i'll make that motion second we have a motion baltimore gallagher second baller in pain is there any discussion hearing none all in favor say aye any opposed say no nice habit motion carries next on the agenda is a resolution for sole source for our utilities department yeah this is the residential social sole source resolution utilities department that will allow for um purchase of software uh the utility department amount of twelve thousand to ninety five dollars uh that will um update our scada system and today this software is the only software that can be used to update the system based on the current scada and current software so tonight authorization for the purchase of that software on the radar to sign that resolution for the sole source for utilities department mr america we adopt the resolution of the airborne walnut city of south haven authorizing single source item purchase utilities department second through a motion ballroom brooks second baller in pain is there any discussion yes no motion carries okay number 11 will be moved to tomorrow night so we'll move on just quickly mayor's report just a couple quick things the intersection modernization project on 51 that i talked about either last million the one before that was delayed but

[0:08:14] they are that is scheduled to begin this week i've been told by the contractor that they will stay on site so once they start the project all the four four intersections will all be completed they won't leave until they're done so that should start i understand they're removing poles uh today so i mentioned uh in the past about the the wildflower project on i-55 in the median it's a beautification project sponsored by keep mississippi beautiful their mississippi state provides a an expert on agriculture and not well on the growth of that and so that's been monitored by that person y'all if you've been that way you notice that we we finally do have some growth this year that was planted two years ago it's not complete yet you'll see some bare spots and we're watching that we're going to give it to the summer to see how the flowers come up then we may do some replanting but if anybody asks you about that we know that there are some bare spots we are addressing that but if you've had a chance to look at it it does have a nice visual effect you know when you're going when you see it at a distance it really changes the landscape it looks really nice but we're going to stay on that until we get that right that also will cut down on the amount of grass that has to be cut in the median there'll be just a tight rim on both sides of the roadway maybe about 10 feet that will still have to be cut but the flowers will be left in the middle and they'll cut down on manpower costs on keeping that cut but anyway that's something we've talked about a long time it is nice to uh to finally see some uh visual results of the things that you hear in this meeting so and other things we've got a lot of things underway as you'll know from previous updates no major changes at this point so i don't want to i don't want to waste everyone's time talking about things i've already talked about as things change i will keep everyone up to date on that and that's all i have for this evening
